LIFE PREPAIR

LIFE PREPAIR LIFE PREPAIR focuses on improving air quality in the Po Valley and surrounding regions in Northern Italy and Slovenia, one of Europe’s most polluted areas. The project promotes the coordinated implementation of Air Quality Plans across multiple regions, targeting key pollution sources such as transport, heating, agriculture, and industry. Through harmonized monitoring, public awareness campaigns, and policy support, LIFE PREPAIR aims to reduce PM10, NOx, and ammonia emissions, contributing to better health outcomes and compliance with EU air quality standards.

MoTIV

MoTIV– The MOTIV project (Mobility and Time Value) aimed to understand and redefine the value of travel time from a user-centric perspective. It developed tools to collect and analyze individual mobility behavior and preferences through a dedicated smartphone app, capturing how people perceive and use their time while traveling. By shifting the focus from cost and speed to quality of travel experience, MOTIV supported more informed transport policy-making and promoted sustainable and demand-responsive mobility services across Europe.

Asset 2

LIFE GYM

LIFE GYM – Green Your Move (GYM) is a European project aimed at promoting sustainable mobility by developing a multimodal journey planning platform that integrates public transport data across Europe. The platform helps users plan the most eco-friendly, efficient routes by combining various transport modes (bus, train, tram, etc.) and calculating the environmental impact (CO₂ emissions) of each option. By encouraging greener travel choices, GYM supports the shift towards low-emission transport and improved urban mobility planning

LIFE Legal Actions - Legal Actions on Clean AIr

LIFE Legal Actions – The “Right to Clean Air” initiative by Deutsche Umwelthilfe (DUH) advocates for the enforcement of citizens’ legal right to breathe clean air in Germany. It focuses on holding authorities accountable when EU air quality limits are exceeded, particularly for nitrogen dioxide (NO₂). Through legal actions, public campaigns, and collaboration with affected communities, DUH pushes for effective measures such as low-emission zonestraffic restrictions, and the promotion of clean mobility solutions, aiming to protect public health and uphold environmental law.

LIFE BrennerLEC

LIFE BrennerLEC – LIFE BrennerLEC aimed to improve air quality and traffic flow along the Brenner motorway corridor by introducing a dynamic traffic management system. The project tested variable speed limits and lane use regulations based on real-time environmental and traffic conditions. Implemented in northern Italy, it sought to reduce NOx and CO₂ emissions, lower noise pollution, and demonstrate how smart mobility policies can enhance environmental sustainability and road safety in transalpine freight and passenger transport.

Asset 2

LIFE for Silver Coast

LIFE for Silver Coast – LIFE for Silver Coast focused on promoting sustainable mobility in tourist-heavy coastal areas by integrating electric mobility solutions. The project implemented a system of electric vehicles, e-bikes, and e-boats, supported by a digital platform for booking and managing shared transport. Piloted in the Silver Coast area of Tuscany (Italy), the initiative aimed to reduce traffic congestion, cut emissions, and improve the environmental quality of tourist destinations while enhancing the visitor experience.

Asset 2

LIFE GySTRA

LIFE GySTRA – LIFE GySTRA aimed to reduce emissions from road transport by implementing an innovative real-time vehicle emissions monitoring system using Remote Sensing Technology (RST). The project focused on identifying high-emitting vehicles and encouraging behavioral change through dynamic eco-driving recommendations and emissions-based incentives or penalties. Piloted in Madrid and Sofia, LIFE GySTRA demonstrated how real-time emissions data can support more effective urban air quality management and promote cleaner, more sustainable mobility.

Asset 2

LIFE FIT

LIFE FIT – LIFE FIT project focuses on facilitating intermodal transport by digitalizing and streamlining the booking and coordination processes between rail and road logistics operators. It offers a cloud-based platform that integrates freight procurement, transport execution, and capacity management, aiming to increase efficiency, reduce administrative complexity, and boost the attractiveness of rail freight. By simplifying access to intermodal services, the project supports a modal shift from road to rail, contributing to lower emissions and more sustainable freight transport in Europe.
